FAQ
1. Can I use my own radio device from my country in Japan?
No, you cannot. The radio frequencies used in your country may cause serious interference with emergency services, disaster communication, or TV broadcasting in Japan.
Even if no interference occurs, it is illegal to operate a radio device in Japan without the Technical Conformity Mark (Giteki Mark). Violations may result in up to one year of imprisonment or a fine of up to ¥1,000,000.
2. What kind of radios does RadiGo offer?
They are designed for clear, reliable communication and are suitable for outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and guiding.
3. What range do the radios have?
In open areas with clear line of sight (such as ridgelines), communication may reach up to around 10 km.
Actual range varies depending on terrain, obstacles, weather conditions, and operating environment.
4. How long do the RadiGo radio's batteries last?
With power-saving mode enabled, the radios offer up to approximately 22 hours of operation. With power-saving mode disabled, battery life is around 18 hours.
Battery performance varies depending on usage and environmental conditions. Please note that in harsh environments, especially in cold conditions such as winter mountains, battery life can decrease significantly.
5. How can I make a rental reservation?
You can easily reserve your rental items through our official website. Just select your rental dates, quantity, and delivery location, then complete the payment online.

AK Powder” in Akaigawa is the best snow in the world.
It's perfect - light, dry and DEEP - unlike anything you’ve experienced. Even among the famed Japow, it stands out.
Once you ride it, you’ll never forget it.
As a professional guide operating in these exceptional conditions, I rely on three essentials:
The instinct to sniff out the best powder and lines of the day.
The physical drive and mental focus to lead my group through deep snow.
Most importantly, a dependable tool to communicate with my guests at all times with precision and safety - that’s where RadiGo’s digital two-way radios come in.
In a backcountry tour, guides and guests hike together to the drop-in point. But, when it’s time to ride, we typically descend one at a time, alone.
Like a Michelin star chef working with the finest ingredients and adding spices with his instinct and experience to serve the perfect plate, in order for me to deliver the best powder experience possible, I need to give precise, real-time instructions based on ever-changing snow and weather conditions. RadiGo radios let me do exactly that.
When I can clearly share key information with my guests, they get to enjoy some of the best turns of their lives - and more importantly, we all stay safe in the process.
In the mountains, smooth communication isn’t just about a great ride - it’s about making it home safely without any incident.
If you're planning to ride the legendary AK Powder, I highly recommend bringing RadiGo along for the adventure.
If you want the best possible experience, book my tour or rent RadiGo.
Your success will be guaranteed. You'll not only have a reliable tool, you'll have exclusive access to secret tips and information only the Akaigawa locals know about.

I am a professional photographer specializing in capturing skiers and snowboarders on the snow.
For a long time, I've used walkie-talkies on location as a communication tool with riders and staff.
Even now, with the widespread use of cell phones, walkie-talkies remain one of the most essential tools to ensure safety and precise/accurate communication when searching for great powder and lines.
I've tried various radios over the years. In the past, I even used radios purchased overseas without realizing they operated on illegal frequency bands in Japan. Back then, there wasn't the same information available about illegal radio use as there is today.
After trying different options, I settled on digital radios. the ones provided by Degital Kan-i Musen(Japanese Standard Radios). I've been using it for about 7 or 8 years now, and it's been reliable with no issues.
When heading into the mountains to shoot, my trusty companions are always with me: ski gear, backcountry gear, full camera setup, cell phone, warm drinks, snacks, and Japanese Standard Radios.
When you're out and about in Japan, choose RadiGo.
Enjoy Japanese powder.
Enjoy Japanese culture.
